UCI Anesthesiology & Perioperative Care is dedicated to providing quality and safe anesthesia and pain management care at UCI Health.

Our board-certified anesthesiologists at UCI are dedicated to providing quality and safe anesthesia and pain management during all surgical procedures. Many of our anesthesiologists have fellowship training in subspecialties including cardiac, pediatric, pain medicine, critical care and obstetric anesthesia. Together we are continuously improving care for patients and are committed to providing safe anesthetic care.

Anesthesia Services

Working in a care team model, we ensure that patients are comfortable and safe before, during and after a surgical procedure. The anesthesia care team includes a combination of a board-certified anesthesiologist, anesthesiology resident, anesthesiology fellow, certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA), nurse practitioners and other healthcare professionals. We provide anesthesia care that is tailored to every patient’s age, preexisting medical conditions (if any) and the type of surgery to ensure the best possible outcome.

Pain Management

Our dedicated team of trained pain medicine physicians make important contributions to the anesthetic care plan for patients. Our pain experts will develop a specialized treatment plan tailored for each patient to manage pain throughout the whole process of surgery. Pain experts establish relationships with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to create a comprehensive personalized pain management plan to improve the patient’s quality of life well after surgery.
